Biography

Wailau Ryder is a producer, arranger, and musician from Oahu, Hawai’i who grew up surrounded by music and hula;  his mother was a kumu hula for her halau and his dad played guitar. He began playing music at 8 yrs old and has played for over 30 years with many different artists, including Bruddah Iz, as a founding member of Na Palapalai, Randy Lorenzo, The Lim Family, Raiatea Helm, Amy Gilliom, Napua Greig, Kalani Pe’a, and many more. Ryder has played on over 100 albums to date and performs with lots of local artists in Hawai’i.
