Seydou Koné

Kirina, Mali

Biography

Seydou Koné is a master djembé player and percussion teacher who lives in Nafadji, a village located 14 km from Kirina, Mali.

Seydou is a talented musician and a joyful teacher at the École de Musique de Kirina, one of the Playing For Change Foundation music schools, and leads the percussion band that plays for each dance class at the school. And as much passion and effort as he puts into teaching, the school gives something back to him, too.
