Biography
A founding member of the Metepec dance community, Alex GM has been participating in pre-Hispanic music and dance since 1991. He also plays various percussion and wind instruments with a local group called Guardian del fuego nuevo (Guardians of the New Fire). This is the group he is seen playing with on PFC’s “Words of Wonder/Get Up Stand Up” Song Around The World on PFC3.
How did you meet PFC and how was working with us?
We met through a link online, and it was a marvelous opportunity to include the music that shows our ancient traditions in a song with other talented musicians.
When and how did you get involved with music?
Music and rhythms have moved me since I was a child.
What does music mean to you?
Music is the power to thank and communicate with God without anything other than sound.
