Biography
Addia Furtado, an actress and percussionist, develops her percussive research on the rhythms of Afro-Brazilian culture and traditional rhythms from West African countries, a region of the ancient Mandingo Empire, having already taken courses with african masters: Sekouba Oulare, Babara Bangoura, Fode Bangoura, Bolokada Conde, among others. Also trained as an actress and producer since 2003.
She is currently part of the african dance and percussion group Abayomi and the group formed by women La Clínica, which mixes percussion and African and Afro Brazilian dance with several performative elements with the woman as protagonist.
