Santiago “Fefe” Lee was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He began studying guitar at the age of 11. He started his musical career in 1981 with a band consisting of his brothers and sisters, who performed around Buenos Aires. He was also in other bands including Los Rockosos (1992), Viaje a Venus (1994), BMG, Los Dedos (1994), The Strikers (1995-2002), and De la Risa (1996). Lee was invited to perform on albums for Los Pericos “Yerba Buena”, Los Polvos, Los Ladrones Sueltos, Club Gong, and Quebramola.
He entered the Berklee College of Music, Buenos Aires in 1998 where he received his degree in Composition and Arrangement. In 2002, he scored the entire soundtrack for the independent film, “The Attack of the Killer Hog” (Argentina), which went on to compete in the Festival de Cine Independiente Buenos Aires and the Berlin International Film Festival.
Fefe Lee joined Los Pinguos in Fall of 2004, where he plays the bass and sings background vocals.
