Biography

Rajeev Shrestha is a sitar player from Kathmandu, Nepal who is a member of the Nepalese band Sur Sudha. He holds a masters degree in music, specializing in sitar, from Prayag Sangit Samiti in Allahabad  India and has received several awards including the “Ganesh Ram Bhandari Smriti Puraskar” junior diploma from Manju Shree Sangit Maha Vidhyalaya for securing the highest score in string instruments.

With his band, Sur Sudha, he has released two albums, Brooding and Suranjali, and performs both locally in Nepal and internationally. He’s performed on stages in China, France, Morocco, Canada, and the U.S.A., among others.
