David Broza

Tel Aviv, Israel

Biography

For thirty years now, Israeli superstar David Broza has been considered one of the most dynamic and vibrant performers in the singer/songwriter world. His charismatic and energetic performances have brought to worldwide audiences, fusions of the musical styles of the three different countries in which he was raised: Israel, Spain, and England. His famous guitar playing has packed concert halls full of fans eager to hear his unique fusion of flamenco flavored rhythmic and percussion techniques, whirlwind finger picking, and signature rock and roll sound. In addition to being committed to transcending borders through his music, David is also a committed peace activist, and serves as a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF.

How we met:

When we phoned David to schedule a shoot with him while we were in Israel, he had no availability– and yet he still made time for us. We met him at his house, a few hours before he was due to perform at a concert in Tel Aviv. We setup our gear in his backyard and filmed and recorded him (and his dog) for an hour. While we broke down our gear he got cleaned up for his performance, and we parted company just in time for him to make his show.
