Biography

Cheikh Gueye is a percussionist and dancer born in Senegal. He was educated in western African percussion and traditional dances and is a member of the percusion group La Bomba de Tiempo.  He has also taken part in ballets and popular music groups, including the “Ballet d’Afrique Noire” where he participated for 14 years, the ballet “Les Ambassadeurs de la Culture Africaine”, and the groups “Sap Sap Nguewen Gui”, and “Bidéu Wer”. In 2006, he decided to move to Argentina with the aim of sharing the African art with the world.
