Biography

Bernardo García is a well-known Cuban percussionist who co-founded the Afro-Cuban jazz ensemble Irakere and was the drummer for Arturo Sandoval’s band. Irakere won a Grammy Award for Best Latin Recording with their self-titled album in 1980.
