Conscious roots songstress Saritah (sa-REE-ta) is on a worldwide musical mission to uplift, inspire and heal. Bursting with an organic sound that is a uniquely feminine blend of reggae, soul, acoustic and dancehall flavours, Saritah has a relentless passion for inspiring people to live their purpose and to follow their dreams.
A festival favourite with her infectious, beaming smile and colourful, energetic live shows, Saritah has graced the stages of some of the world’s most renowned musical gatherings including Glastonbury Festival (UK), Reggae Sun Ska (France), California Roots Festival (USA), Sierra Nevada World Music Festival, (USA), Jarasum International Jazz Festival (South Korea), Bali Spirit Festival (Indonesia), Mosaic Festival (Singapore), GreenRoom Festival (Japan), Australasian Worldwide Music Expo (Aus) amongst many, many more. Artists she toured with/opened for include Michael Franti & Spearhead, The John Butler Trio, Groundation, Nahko & Medicine for the People, J BOOG, The Cat Empire, Anuhea amongst many others.
Choosing a positive, earth-conscious, vegan lifestyle, Saritah is inspired both by the majesty of the planet we live on and the overwhelming realities that face us on a day-to-day basis. Vulnerably aware that this modern life can be overwhelming at best, her songs are celebrations, revelations, invocations, affirmations. She has a positive vision for the future that shines through every word she sings and every note she plays.
Equally at home fronting a full band on the big stage with an audience of thousands as she is with an acoustic guitar in front of an intimate crowd, Saritah is always enchanting, disarming, and irresistibly positive.
As a world of chaos is turned upside down, be still within – listen to the sound of the life force pumping through the air, through the ground this is our chance, our power is now to celebrate, create for life is precious and to be embraced, in the face of fear, have faith and pray, gather your energy, we all need to heal.
– Saritah, Gratitude.
