Fabian “Sapo” Miodownik was born on August 8th, 1978 in Montevideo, Uruguay. At the age of 11, he started to play drums with masters like Osvaldo Fattoruso, Martin Ibarburu, Nico Arnicho, Chancha Elizalde and Ruben Montaldo.
In 2005, he moved to Buenos Aires to study in EMC and started a career playing and recording with many featured musicians. He has participated in world music festivals such as Reigen live (Vienna), Wider (Zurich), Sun Sindikata (Belgrade), Jazz Festival and other music festivals from Buenos Aires (2006, 2007 and 2008), Jazz Festival Santa Fe 2007, Jazz Festivals Mercedes (Uruguay, the 6 editions 2006 07 08 09 10 11), Festival 2009 Cordoba City, Jazz Festival La Pataia 2010 (Punta del Este) and medio y medio jazz festival 2012 (Portezuelo). He is currently working on a few different projects, but he is mainly focused on the Candombe.
How did you meet PFC and how was working with us?
It was an incredible experience meeting people that work with such passion for a project with such a profound goal, one that brings good energy and causes you to join in the positive vibration.
When and how did you get involved with music?
I started when I was 11 years old thanks to my father who proposed that we study drums together, which lasted for two months and then I continued.
